When I heard that a neighbor is entering studies at UC Davis this fall semester, my eyes lit up. I remembered a fantastic sculpture in Davis called “Solar Intersections“. As Alyssa arrives by train (no cars allowed on campus) at 2nd Street in front of the train station, she may notice the towering rainbow of colors. Covered in holographic Mylar that shimmers like a rainbow, this art installation by Robert Behrens makes use of theme of intersections–the train station, a road, and the busy entry point for countless students attending the university.
