Parades come and go in California. One year we were alerted to a new St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Town Orcutt (Santa Maria) but this year it’s not being promoted and may not exist. What IS a new addition to our St. Patrick’s Day Parade list in California, however, is Canoga Park’s St. Patrick’s Day Community March & Celebration. While Christmas and 4th of July continue to outshine other holidays for parades in the state, the St. Patrick’s Day Parades are memorable events.

Perhaps the oldest is San Francisco’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, boasting 169 years of pride & joy. The year 2020 will certainly go down in the books as unforgettable since the parade is cancelled. According to event planners, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival has been postponed until further notice due to restrictions imposed by the City & County of San Francisco in its efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

With that in mind, DO confirm before going!
