The Club Sandwich Index Cost of Travel Guide

Hotels.com came up with a fun way to determine how much things are going to cost when you travel the U.S. and globe. They call it the Club Sandwich Index, as determined by the average price of a club sandwich in various cities. Among the findings–California’s cities rank among some of the cheapest in the world for a club sandwich with San Diego coming in at $10 and Los Angeles at $11 for a sandwich. Globally, the lowest prices for such a sandwich can also be found in New Delhi, Mexico City and Buenos Aires. But there’s a saying–when in Rome, eat as the Romans do. Don’t order club sandwiches!
