Who would think that the California Academy of Sciences would be the place to dance, sway and play on Thursday nights? Yes, even science can be entertaining. The Steinhart Aquarium world class attraction in Golden Gate Park where creatures and cocktails come together in an adults only event is back after a holiday hiatus. Thursdays from 6-10 p.m. a live band or DJ, and a unique theme – from salsa dancing to sustainable seafood – are set to the backdrop of large aquarium tanks where fish seem to dance and glow in the dark. What a show! Event sells out, book early. Cost: $12. VIP Tour: $59, calacademy.org
