Weekend Events: San Diego, Monterey Launch Whale Festival Season

Big Bay Whale Days in San Diego on Jan. 25, 2014, and Whalefest Monterey Jan. 25 & 26 are the start of something big–the annual launch of whale festival season. This year and the end of last year saw the biggest amount of whale sightings off the California coast in decades. More types of whales are being seen, as well.
