Before you get all crazy and bent out of shape, the Cupid’s Undie Run in West Hollywood isn’t just another wild event like Halloween Carnaval–it’s wilder! On Feb. 15, 2014, undie-clad adults across the nation are running to raise money for Children’s Tumor Foundation. This is the second year that California’s had an Undie fun run event, but you’ll find underwear attire also in Atlanta, Austin, Boise, Boston (where it’s freezing!) and Chicago. In West Hollywood the festivities start at noon and the run begins at 2 p.m. The meeting location for the event is The Abbey, 692 N. Robertson Boulevard. The route for the run is the perimeter of West Hollywood Park. All are invited to come and gawk politely.
West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tempore, John D’Amico, says his city has a long history of supporting philanthropic endeavors and doing so with a sense of fun and light-heartedness. “This event mixes old-fashioned fun with right from the heart giving.”
Councilmember John J. Duran thinks the event is “a great cheeky way to raise money for a good cause. Fortunately for us here in West Hollywood, we have a lot of sexy people who look great running in their underwear!”
