Wild West Celebrations

This weekend Western film aficionados converge for the annual Long Pine Film Festival Oct. 7-9, 2016, to discuss topics such as “Riding the Rails – Trains in Westerns.” Tours take participants to film locations in and around the Alabama Hills, and the festival ends with an annual tradition — Closing Campfire. If you’re a Wild West, Old West or Western culture fan, there are some exciting cowboy events around the bend:
