There’s no “down” time on Dec.26 for Hmong Californians who comprise the largest such population of any state in the U.S. From Dec.26 to Jan.1 the annual Hmong New Year festival at Fresno Fairgrounds celebrates the customs, music, pageantry, food and dance of the Hmong people with an entire week of entertainment. The public is invited to this affordable event, one of dozens of activities taking place at fairgrounds in California.
