So what’s up with Yahoo’s failing email product?  YAHOO! MAIL is down daily — the company’s product is clearly failing.  If you are using Yahoo for email, check out http://downdetector.com/status/yahoo-mail and read some of the current 14,000 complaints. Here are a few:

• What does “Temporary error: 15” mean? I did not get any helpful tips from their troubleshooting instructions.
• Marissa Mayer is ruining Yahoo. First it was infecting Yahoo groups with NEO (one of the worst pieces of programming I’ve seen in 40 years of using computers). Every “fix” causes new problems If you look on the “help” board you’ll see requests for help that are months old with NO FIXES. And you can’t get any support. Now it’s the email. One has to wonder if she’s still working for Google and killing off Yahoo as a double agent. If she’s not working for Google then why is she systemically destroying Yahoo?
• Fire Marissa. Yahoo mail is horrible and has gotten worse on her watch.
• Bonforte (responsible Yahoo MAIL) told employees at a staff meeting that the only way Yahoo Mail customers would leave the service was if Yahoo kicked Mail users in the [testicles].
• What is going on with yahoo??? No yahoo mail all day in Texas
• This is totally unacceptable! Mail from yahoo is worthless anymore, time to move on.
• WILL THIS NIGHTMARE EVER END???????????????????
• While I certainly get the frustration, if you are using your freemail as the sole point of failure in your business/life, you’re doin’ it wrong.
