This is the time Californians and visitors are treated to spectacular sights such as theĀ waterfalls of Yosemite National Park. Last July three people fell to their death as they entered the water approximately 25 feet from the precipice above Yosemite’s Vernal Fall. Trying to get great photographs, two were young lovers were seen clinging to each other in a bear hug as the water swept them away. The drop is 317 feet at the waterfall’s edge.
You definitely should see California’s waterfalls this spring, but do use caution when you go. 16 California State Parks feature waterfalls you can see, and though Yosemite has the tallest waterfalls in North America, there are plenty of exciting sounds and sights of waterfalls throughout the state.
