Zoos Sparkle with Holiday Celebrations, Reindeer, Presents, Lights
Los Angeles Zoo’s popular Reindeer Stomp welcomes L.A.’s only reindeer: Belle, Jingle, Noel, and Velvet! They are on view every day from Thursday, Nov. 29, 2013 through Thursday, January 2, 2014. In addition to the reindeer, special animal behavioral enrichment presents take place at the Zoo Saturdays and Sundays, November 30 – December 22, 2013. Watch a variety of zoo animals interact with colorful snowmen, packages, gigantic candy canes and a variety holiday items that delight guests and entertain the zoo residents. See lazoo.org for hours.
San Francisco Zoo also hosts a Reindeer Stomp, plus a wonderful Holiday Lights display guests can see during extended holiday hours. The lights display is a special event charging $7 admission. See sfzoo.org
Bakersfield CALM Zoo’s HolidayLights includes 2 million brilliant lights that shine in the night, shaped like zoo animals.
