1. Three Island Fiasco Sailboat Race June 28, 2014 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Konocti Bay Sailing Club racers go around 3 islands or buoys set off the shore of an island (Anderson, Rattlesnake and Dollar Islands) in any order and any direction which is where the "fiasco" comes into the race. 2. Lakeport Cardboard & Duct Tape Regatta July 4, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. This annual event takes place in Library Park on the Fourth of July. cityoflakeport.com
3. Old Glory Boat Parade with over 100 red, white & blue bedecked boats in Newport Beach. Sponsored by the American Legion Yacht Club, the parade leaves from Collins at approx. 12:30 p.m. on July 4. See: americanlegionyachtclub.com

Day on the 4th of July, participants decorate their dinghies in a patriot
theme and parade around the Oceanside Harbor. Sport your red, white and blue
and cheer on the participants as they pass by. This event is sponsored by
the Oceanside Yacht Club.
