The temperature may be 85 degrees along the oceanfront course, but the streets of Long Beach are blazing hot as the roaring thunder & burned rubber on the Long Beach pavement fills the air with excitement in downtown Long Beach April 15 - 17, 2011. The annual tradition, Grand Prix of Long Beach, is three fun-filled days of fast cars, pretty girls, bands, concerts, food, vendor expos (this year a zip line has been added), and so much to see and do that your engine can go into overdrive if you don't pace yourself.
On Sat., Apr. 16, there's a Firestone Indy Lights Qualifying at 12:55 p.m.; Izod IndyCar Qualifying at 2:30; American LeMans Series Race at 4:30 and Rock&Roar Concert starring John Kay and Steppenwolf at 6:30 p.m. The concert is free with race ticket.
