The county fairs in California are entering 2011 with new themes, but the same amount of fun as 2010. Last year we saw the introduction of greasy, unhealthy foods such as Fried Butter (served on a stick). This year will bring new, sensational foods to get people trying something different. Fairs have always been about the newest and latest, but also continue to serve up traditions.

At the Orange County Fair, one family goes to the fair year after year and has done so for over 25 years. New crops of kids in the family have been introduced to the tradition that includes food sampling, carnival rides, and surveying the exhibition halls.
