Trees that float in bays, a Christmas Tree lit on a sandy beach (with Santa’s assistance) at the Historic Crystal Cove where you can rent a cozy cottage and relax, or a tree lit at a Sunken Garden in Atascadero, are a few magical events to lighten the holidays. There are so many tree lighting ceremonies going on this week, you’ll hardly be able to keep up.
One of our favorite places for tree ceremonies is the beach. There are very few places that actually set the tree up right on the beach, so Crystal Cove Tree Lighting is especially noteworthy. Photos on this page are supplied by Yuri, a volunteer at Crystal Cove State Beach. He invites everyone to attend this event that includes a craft show & sale with artists, and authors signing books. We recently purchased holiday cards painted by artists last year as a fund-raiser for the park. At the Holiday Tree Lighting there should be a new holiday gift card on display.
This weekend on December 3, 2011, Crystal Cove State Beach is hosting a tree ceremony, Santa visit and craft fair on the beach. It is one of over 100 places throughout California where you can lighten up for the holidays.
Here are some tree lightings you won’t want to miss this week! Pick your city here and pick a ceremony!
