Balboa Park Sunrise Service: A nonsectarian Easter service
was hosted by several area churches from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.
in 2011. While we’re not sure if it is back again in 2012,
there will be a Sunday Organ Concert from 2 – 3 p.m. at
Spreckels Organ Pavilion, 1549 El Prado # 10, San Diego, CA.
Call: (619) 702-8138. one of the world’s largest outdoor
pipe organs, to the City of San Diego in 1914 for the
Panama-California Exposition. This unique organ contains
4,530 pipes ranging in length from the size of a pencil to
32 feet and is housed in an ornate vaulted structure with
highly embellished gables. Spreckels Organ is one of the
world’s largest outdoor pipe organs.

The Balboa Island Ferry will begin transporting cars from
Balboa Island at 6 a.m. for this special service. The
dolphins usually swim during the service, they say.

Easter Sunrise at 6:30 a.m. is a beautiful service is held
in the Mt. Helix Park Amphitheater. Shuttles run from the
fire station at 10105 Vivera Drive in La Mesa beginning at 6
a.m.
Easter Sunrise Services hosted by Foothills United Methodist Church in
2015. This annual event has taken place at the summit of Mt. Helix since 1917.

San Francisco Mount Davidson Cross. Easter morning tradition 7 am on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the annual Sunrise Service at Mount Davidson Cross. This year’s citywide celebration atop the city’s highest peak marks the 93rd anniversary of the event. Civic leaders taking part in the citywide event have yet to be announced. The program also features an SF Firefighters Color Guard and musical performances by Voice of Victory and Lynne Miller of The House of Bagpipes. Local clergy will be presiding at the non-denominational service that will include an Easter message delivered by Gerald Mann of Sunset Ministry. America’s largest cross will be illuminated by spotlights totaling 48,000 watts on the evening of April 4, 2015, shining as a beacon for Easter morning pilgrims. Special bus service begins at 5:30 am and runs every 15 minutes from Forest Hill Station to the park gate located at the intersection of Lansdale Avenue, Myra Drive and Dalewood Way – two blocks south of Portola Drive. largest Easter Service in Los Angeles topping over 10,000 in attendance at one
