More than 10,000 people had fun at the 15th Annual Redondo Beach Surf N Turf Lobster Festival by the Seaside Lagoon. They enjoyed the delicious steak, lobster, fried calamari, roasted corn, sausages, cobbler deserts and much more. This was the first time organizers added steak to the menu.
There also were carnival games, artists, vendors, crafts and even mechanical bull rides.
Event Director Pete Moffett of Moffett Productions said he added steak, a carnival, the bull and other things to lure the public to the exciting attraction.
Coordinated by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce, the fun festival had live entertainment, musicians, dancing and even legendary KLOS 95.5 FM broadcasts.
My thanks to Marna Smeltzer, Karin Kartounian and their staff for putting this on. Sponsors who made it happen were The City Of Redondo Beach, Budweiser, Guitar Center, Los Angeles Magazine, Ford and All Area Access Tour Ford. If you'd like to get involved in Next Year's event please call: (310) 376-6911. Ask for Marna.
Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts many events throughout the year but the Lobster Festival and Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K, Baby Buggy Run are several of its largest events.
