While some watch the 4th of July Parade, others are in the parade. Whatever perspective you have, either riding in a horse-drawn cart, carrying a banner, or watching from the sidelines, the parade is a great tradition that brings communities and strangers together to celebrate.
"Being in the parade, provides a sense of community pride," said Chris MacDonald, who has carried a banner in the Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade for five consecutive years. "I like doing it because I get to see everybody...the people...and excitement. It's all about the fun!"
Ever been in a parade? If not, you owe it to yourself to try it sometime. It is an experience full of surprises.
