Auburn, California — In the Sierra Nevada foothills the city of Auburn is susceptible to mountain weather which ranges from cold in the winter to hot in the summer. Located over 100 miles from the California coast, Auburn doesn't generally gain benefit of the coastal cool temps. Instead, you can count on summers averaging 91 degrees or hotter in July and August with a record-breaking day of 113 degrees or more.

The weather is enjoyed by many who seek a warmer summer climate, including many retirees who find Auburn's weather ideal. For tourists it is quite tolerable to pleasant, depending on when you visit. Our favorite weather in Auburn is March to May (Spring) and October / November (Fall).
