Oakland Zoo is GLOWFARI, a wildly illuminated nighttime lantern festival! 2024-2025 season features new lighting and new themes. The family-friendly experience features hundreds of larger-than-life animal lanterns throughout the Zoo, storytelling the ongoing journey of wildlife, the importance of every species on our planet, and Oakland Zoo's commitment to conservation. Dozens of towering and even interactive, glowing lanterns of every order await to entertain and enlighten you at every turn.

2024-2025 season features new themes

• take a float down Africa's longest river
• take a float on the Nile to view wading wildlife and ancient Egyptian structures
• a trip to the farm to visit barnyard favorites like cows, chicken, and sheep
• a hike up the highest peaks to visit animals at the top of the world like ibex and alpaca
• return to the past to see dinosaurs take over the California trail.
• experience  a train ride through an Avian Odyssey, full of all our winged, feathered friends from parrots to puffins!

*Advance ticket purchase is required. Adventure Landing (rides area) will be closed for Glowfari. Proceeds from Glowfari support Oakland Zoo's operating expenses, animal care, education and conservation programs. All Glowfari tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE unless there is a Zoo closure.
